Bringing Sunday into Monday

This winter, we began a new feature on the church facebook page called “Bringing Sunday into Monday.” This involves artfully displaying a quote from the Sunday sermon with the hope that readers will bring this message into Monday and beyond; that we would not leave the sermon message in Sunday but carry it with us throughout the week.

The quote chosen is the basis of my hope. In short: God brings hope. And God chooses to do so through you:

“But here’s my hope. In times of chaos, God brings order. In times of hopelessness, hope. In times of conflict, love. In times of fear, peace. In times of doubt, faith. In times of scarcity, abundance. And I think that one way God brings order, hope, love, peace, faith, and abundance is through you. God has chosen you to love the world through.”

During this time period, let’s love our neighbors.

Here’s how I think we can do this.

If you receive hope, love, peace, faith, abundance, mercy, grace, etc. from God, aim to provide that for another. On average day, there is plenty of doubt, fear, and hate. We are not living through average days. We may see increases in doubt, fear, and hate.

How is God speaking into the doubt, fear, and hate cropping up in your life?

Go speak that truth into another’s life.
